TOWCESTER has validated an interest in staging the TV Trophy during this year's Derby after the prominent marathon competition was a noteworthy omission from the 2026 GBGB open-race calendar.

Talks are presently ongoing in between the Northamptonshire location and the GBGB to host the eight-bend competition throughout the second and third rounds of the Classic, with the objective of still running the standard Dorando Marathon race on Derby last night.
